klipps App Reviews

5 Customer Reviews:

It would be nice, as well as practical, to have a native OSX app. I’m a developer and I know how difficult it is to support multiple platforms. But even the login page feels ghetto in klipps. That won’t stop me from using it over diigo, xmarks and delicious though. And it probably won’t stop me from paying for the pro licence either.

Very good I am a PAID Account Reviewer

Very well done…I am a premium kippt member and this is hands down the best app for the desktop.

It would be great if the app would remember its previous window size and position. What is the real benefit of this app? I just created an instance with the FLUID app and it loads even faster, and remembers the window position. But your logo is much nicer.

Running OS X 10.9 Mavericks, I installed Kippt the initial downa load and install. after opening the app buttons were clealy off center with the words.. and it would just about fall apart… slow then unresponse and forced quit. 3 times ive tried to give it a chance… IF YOU HAVE MAVERICKS DONT WASTE UR TIME~

I love this app. The desktop app runs on my Macs all day every day although I do use the Kippt browser extension to save most items I want to keep track of. For people like myself who do a lot of research online and keep tons of bookmarks for reference, this is a much better way to manage that type of stuff. I don’t care much about sharing the content I save, as the majority is for my own uses, but it is a nice feature for a lot of folks who like to share things they’ve found. I just like the ability to save bookmarks and organize them with folders and notes in a very simple and easy to use app that provides a nice UI to work with. It works in all browsers and despite some comments by other users about limitation in Mavericks, I am running it in Mavericks and Yosemite, both the latest beta versions too, and have had absolutely no problems at all. It works great and installation, both the browser extension and the Mac app, is about as simple as it gets. I gave this app 4 out of 5 stars but would have given it 5 stars if not for the monthly pricing model of the paid version. While I understand from the developers’ point of view the attraction of billing users on a cyclical basis, which is becoming new default model, rather than the one-time price for an app (usually with free updates and paid upgrades), it’s becoming very hard to justify for those of us who work in this industry and use a TON of apps. $5.00/month may not seem like much until you are paying for 15 or 20 apps/services using the same pricing model, then it starts getting ridiculously expensive. So as much as I love this app, I can’t afford another $60/yr to manage my bookmarks, no matter how much I would really like to do so. Klipps is a very handy little app that makes it enjoyable to bookmark and organize things, even the free version. I would recommend it to everyone.
